He further honed his skills through a rigorous orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Nice, culminating in his specialization as a spine specialist and spinal surgeon.

His commitment to excellence led him to work under renowned mentors, such as Prof. De Peretti and Prof. Le Huec, during his headship at Bordeaux University Hospital and Nice University Hospital. These formative years shaped Dr. Challali’s patient-centric approach and technical mastery in orthopedic surgery.

Pioneering Biportal Endoscopic Spine Surgery in Western Europe

Dr. Challali’s career is marked by his trailblazing achievements in spine surgery. In March 2020, he became the first surgeon to perform Unilateral Biportal Endoscopy (UBE) spine surgery in Western Europe, revolutionizing spinal care in the region. Recognizing the need for education and awareness, he also founded the French Spine Endoscopy Course, the first annual event in Europe dedicated to training surgeons in this advanced minimally invasive technique.
